Matthew Griffin is an independent consultant and researcher with specialist knowledge and experience in supporting nations to build Digital Resilience, and designing and delivering International and Community Development programs and interventions. Matthew’s career has taken him all around the world completing in-country field work, academic and policy research, program management, and strategic engagements across Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific regions. 

Experience

Engaging with and learning from a variety of cultures and perspectives has shaped Matthew into a global citizen and reaffirmed his motivation to pursue professional opportunities and initiatives that are sustainable, informed by local context and aimed at improving the quality of life of others.

Matthew has a diverse range of experience in the education and international aid and development sectors. Such experience has equipped him with the knowledge, skills, and tools to support clients in a broad  range of areas from policy research and assessment to strategy and intervention design, implementation, and evaluation.

Examples of such experience include:

  • the completion of national cybersecurity capacity assessments in countries from the Pacific and South-East Asia;
  • the facilitation of over 35 focus groups including participants representing the public, private, and civil society; and
  • the development and implementation of strategic and operational action plans for an African based research centre.
